BlueJeans by Verizon recently announced the arrival of new General Manager and VP, Eric Spadafora.

This announcement marks the first anniversary of Verizon’s decision to purchase BlueJeans, already a leading enterprise video conferencing solution, and part of the Advanced Communications portfolio.

According to CEO and EVP of Verizon Business, Tami Erwin, Eric is on track to take the company towards even greater milestones. As employees begin to make their way back into the office environment, BlueJeans is prepared to help drive transformation in opportunities for a new age of hybrid work. Eric will be assisting the BlueJeans team in unlocking these new results.

Looking Towards a Hybrid Future

Commenting on his new role, Spadafora noted that video conferencing and remote collaboration have emerged as essential tools in the way we do business. The combination of BlueJeans’ enterprise-grade video platform, combined with Verizon’s high-performance 5G and global networks will allow the brand to deliver bigger and better opportunities for team collaboration. Eric is excited to be working with the team on the new future of teamwork.

BlueJeans stands out as one of the primary meeting platforms for better productivity and remote work. Thousands of organisations, from growing businesses to Fortune 500 professionals, including many of the world’s most trusted institutions and organisations, use BlueJeans for large events and video meetings. New products and services have also emerged in the last year to support the changing marketplace. The Telehealth offering from BlueJeans is a HIPAA-ready solution for virtual patient support, for instance.

A stronger focus on partnerships and interoperability is also leading to new developments across the entire BlueJeans portfolio, including BlueJeans Events, BlueJeans Meetings, and BlueJeans Gateway for Microsoft Teams. All of these solutions come with a focus on improving user experience without compromising on security.

Taking on an Exciting New Role

Spadafora will be succeeding the former CEO of BlueJeans, Quentin Gallivan, who retired not long ago. Eric will be reporting to the Global Enterprise Verizon leader, Massimo Pesilli. Eric originally joined Verizon after the acquisition of MCI communications, one of the biggest long-distance telecom’s providers in the US at the time. He recently also served as VP of Business Sales, leading more than 1500 professionals towards a more innovative technology experience.

As GM and VP for BlueJeans, Spadafora will be in charge of improving the growth of the business markets team, and driving growth, innovation, and revenue in the business. A strong background and standing at Verizon means Eric and his team are well-positioned to lead the way to a new era of hybrid work for all kinds of customers.
