UC Today attended Cloud Comms Summit 2019 which concluded in Washington earlier in September. The latest iteration of the Cloud Comms Summit is organised by Cavell Group and the Cloud Communications Alliance.
Alianza approaches the communication market by aiming to combine areas such as CPaaS and UCaaS through its API enabled cloud platform. The Cloud Comms Summit has provided the perfect forum for its CEO Brian Beutler to get across its message that service providers should be moving away from traditional strategies by ‘ditching the box’. Patrick asks Beutler to explain this concept and tell us more about Alianza’s platform.
Patrick then talks to Beutler about why it appears that the service provider market has been slightly behind the enterprise in adopting integration based communications. Beutler explains that service providers have, rightly, been so concerned with ensuring that their customers still have quality provision of voice services that they have potentially slightly neglected the new innovations available. When voice makes up such a crucial part of a service providers revenue stream they often have additional concerns to that of a large single organisation.
