Former ScanSource senior executives Joel Price and Dave HepplewhiteΒ have set up their own consulting firm, Leading Cloud Solutions.Β

Price, who was previously VP of sales for the UK, Ireland and France at ScanSource, and Hepplewhite, who wasΒ a sales manager at theΒ now-defunctΒ distributor, have set up the new cloud consultancy to provide independent advice to customers.Β Β

β€œDue to unforeseen circumstances, we were both left with a decision to make as to the next step of our career. Having worked alongside each other for over 15 years, it felt [like] the time was right to pursue an exciting new opportunity to continue working together in an industry that we are passionate about,” the pair wrote on the company website.Β

β€œWe felt that we were ideally placed to help businesses in an innovative way to find the right cloud solutions, whilst saving time and money in the process. Leading Cloud Solution Ltd was created with this purpose in mind.”

Leading Cloud Solutions focuses onΒ UCaaS,Β CCaaS, cybersecurity andΒ specialisesΒ in integration between platforms, such asΒ UCaaSΒ and CRM.Β

The firmΒ claimsΒ to have β€œextensive” relationships with hundreds of cloud solution providers and adopts an agnostic approach to its services.Β

β€œSome of the providers that we work with have seen a 30-fold increase in business following the first lockdown in March 2020; it is well documented that companies needed to act quickly to support a working from home model,” stated Price.Β

β€œWe expect to see continued adoption of such cloud technologies due to their flexibility and affordability. A belief supported by Gartner, who reported that by 2023 more than 50 per cent of largeΒ organisationsΒ will connect to cloud providers, up from 10 per cent in 2019 and by 2024, 74 per cent of new UC licenses purchased byΒ organisationsΒ will be cloud-based”.Β

ScanSource Europe was bought by Ten Oaks in November last year for $30m, leavingΒ the original ScanSource with its North American and cloud business.Β The brand was renamedΒ TexelProΒ soon afterΒ rumoursΒ emerged of its demise inΒ January and that it had let go all of its UK staff.Β
