Gamma Communications, one of the leading providers of communication services to businesses in the Netherlands and the UK, recently announced a new acquisition. Gamma has purchased Exactive Holdings limited, a UC specialist, and one of the small number of Microsoft Teams Voice partners within the United Kingdom. Exactive has a range of clients across both the enterprise and public sectors.

The new acquisition builds on a previous partnership with the company to bring customers a wider range of services for their Microsoft Teams solutions. Following the recent acquisition of Telsis in 2019, this new purchase marks another step forward in Gamma’s plan to become the leading UCaaS provider for Europe.

A Natural Partnership Choice

Gamma’s management team have been comfortable with the Exactive team for a number of years now. The two companies have worked on large projects together such as the Guinness partnership and a solution for the London Stock Exchange Group. Just like Gamma, Exactive has plenty of experience in the UCaaS world and has a multi-tenant PSTN routing platform for Microsoft Teams named Cloud UCX.

Gamma can already integrate SIP trunking services with Microsoft Teams, creating an opportunity for customers to use the public telephone network within Teams. Gamma’s direct routing service also offers seamless integration to businesses, without the need for a site visit, on-premise equipment or licensing. With the Exactive purchase, Gamma will be able to enhance it’s Microsoft ecosystem offering even further.

Talking about the acquisition, CEO of Gamma, Andrew Taylor, said that the company is thrilled to be purchasing Exactive and welcoming the entire team into the Gamma family. In a world where UCaaS is continuing to grow and evolve at a rapid pace, Gamma believes that Exactive will help it to address the part of the market that is already embedded within the Microsoft ecosystem.

A Powerful Step For Both Brands

The close relationship between the Exactive and Gamma team made the acquisition a natural step forward. The Gamma team is looking forward to working alongside the experts from Exactive to continue growing the Gamma portfolio in the years to come.

CEO of Exactive, Scott Millar, said that Gamma is the perfect new home for Exactive. The company is excited about becoming a part of the Gamma family and see this transformation as a major milestone in their strategy to deliver solutions for the Microsoft—focused collaboration market.
