Infinigate Group has completed its acquisition of Vuzion as the two combine to create a secure cloud value-add digital platform.
The takeover will see Infinigateβs pan-European cybersecurity footprint combined with Microsoft Indirect Provider Vuzionβs expertise in the Microsoft world.
As a result of the acquisition, Infinigate has pledged to invest in Vuzionβs UK-based operations as it looks to expand.
Klaus Schlichtherle, CEO of Infinigate Group, said: βOur acquisition of Vuzion is a strategic move that weβve taken because cybersecurity and cloud are a natural fit.
βIt enables us to ensure a more comprehensive security posture for the end customers, especially in the SMB space.
βInfinigate will be the only VAD where resellers will find the expertise to transition customers to comprehensive, secure cloud solutions.
βThe acquisition will accelerate digital transformation both for Infinigate and for those we serve and combined with our key recruitment and investments, it enables us to re-invent VAD for a digital world.
βIn the coming quarter, we will be investing in the core Vuzion business in the UK and will develop a joint approach across EMEA to secure the cloud and leverage Vuzion expertise and experience.β
Vuzion is a cloud distributor and Microsoft Indirect Provider, serving over 600 resellers and one million cloud users.
The company delivers cloud solutions with a core focus on marketing and technical abilities to its customers, and it was the first Microsoft UK provider to cover a full spectrum of offerings across the cloud platform partner ecosystem.
Michael Frisby, Managing Director of Vuzion, commented: βWe are excited to join Infinigateβs innovative and dynamic team.
βOur shared people-focused approach and common values give us a strong foundation.
βJoining forces allows us to provide more expertise and services, which help our mutual partners accelerate their growth and secure their customersβ journey to the cloud.
βThis acquisition generates new employment opportunities as we continue to grow our teams in the UK, Ireland and Europe.βΒ
According to Vuzion, the company has recorded year-on-year growth of more than 30% each year over the past three years.
In October last year, Frisby spoke to UC Today about Microsoft introducing its licencing purchasing with its New Commerce Experience (NCE).
While some partners were weary of the change, Frisby said at the time that he believed the move to the new system would benefit the channel.
However, when speaking at the UC Partner Summit in May, Frisby explained that the journey to Microsoftβs New Commerce Experience has been going on for some years but could have been communicated more effectively by Microsoft.Β
