Kurmi Software’s appointment of Micah Singer as the new CEO of Kurmi reveals its plans for international growth.

Singer founded VoIP Logic, and he has a background in commercialising telecom solutions and expanding them into the international marketplace.

Micah Singer has been made CEO of Kurmi effective from October 1, 2022, replacing the former CEO of Kurmi Software, Thibaut Felgeres.

Micah Singer, CEO of Kurmi Software, said: “I am excited to assume the role of CEO at such a momentous time for Kurmi.

“Unified Communications, collaboration tools, and IT systems are amazing but complex technologies that require smart and powerful management software.

“As enterprises adopt new systems and migrate applications to the cloud across complicated multi-vendor environments, solutions that can significantly reduce this complexity will save time, money and produce a better outcome.

“I believe Kurmi is best placed to solve this problem which is common to the largest operators and enterprises.

“After working with Thibaut for several years on the Kurmi board, it is an honour to succeed him as CEO.  Thibaut is a transformative leader and a person of high character who has led Kurmi through a rapid period of change over the past five years. We will continue this trajectory into Kurmi’s next phase of growth.”

Singer has 25 years of experience in the telecoms technology industry. After founding VoIP Logic, he has worked as a Microsoft ISV Partner at TeamMate Technology.

The new CEO will not be unfamiliar with Kurmi, having already served as a Kurmi Software Board Member for the last two years.

The outgoing CEO, Thibaut Felgeres, retires after five years at the helm, for which he has received plenty of gratitude and warm farewells from colleagues and friends in the industry.

In a post on LinkedIn, he reflected on his time and successes at Kurmi:

“A big thank you to everyone at Kurmi Software and to your valued customers and partners; it has been so great to work with you!

“Starting from a great software company from Brittany, we have created significant growth (4x) and structured it into an international group (USA, Canada, Germany, Dubai, Croatia, and Australia), and, on top of that, developed an amazing culture!”

Felgeres was even awarded the Kurmi award for ten years of service by Pascal Moindrot, Co-Founder and COO at Kurmi Software, even though he only worked at Kurmi for five years. Felgeres explains by saying, “it’s been five years for me, but maybe with such an exciting transformation, the years count double”.

Kurmi’s solutions are used across multiple verticals, including financial services, hospitals, managed service providers, telcos, and academic institutions.

Recent growth at Kurmi has shifted the company to look overseas, and it now has a leadership and sales team with strong international experience.

Kurmi says there is an increasing demand from enterprises for effective user provisioning management and administration as a result of accelerated digital transformation and the shift the hybrid work.

The company believes Singer will be able to build market visibility and strengthen UC provider partnerships and enterprise customer relations globally.

Moindrot said:

“Micah is an inspiring leader who brings the excitement of an entrepreneur along with the highly relevant experience of driving strategic expansion at global telecommunication businesses. This makes him the ideal choice to accelerate Kurmi’s growth.

“His understanding of our culture and core values, combined with his expertise as a technology leader with a proven track record of success, will be key as we position Kurmi to embrace the opportunities ahead of us. On behalf of the entire Board, we are delighted to welcome Micah as Kurmi’s next CEO.”

Kurmi creates software to “automate, simplify, and reduce” administration costs and provisioning times of UC-CC (unified communications and contact centre). Its software suite includes UC platforms such as Microsoft, Cisco, Zoom, and Avaya).

The company recently took part in a UC Today round table, discussing managing Teams in multi-vendor environments

In June, Kurmi joined the Cisco SolutionsPlus program, becoming the exclusive management provider on the Global Price List.
