Zoom, one of the market leaders in video conferencing and communication technology, has announced it is now making Zoom Phone available in 25 additional territories and countries. On top of that, there’s also a new simplified telephone service plan available for companies with global locations.

Zoom provides local telephone services and domestic calling in over 40 countries worldwide now. The new countries and territories now appearing as part of the solution include Argentina, Brazil, Bulgaria, Chile, Columbia, Costa Rica, Croatia, Czech Republic, Ecuador, Estonia, Finland, Greece, Hong Kong SAR, Hungary, Lithuania, Luxemburg, Mexico, Norway, Panama, Peru, Poland, Romania, Singapore, Slovakia, and Slovenia.

To help customers streamline their portfolio regarding communications, Zoom launched its Zoom Phone Pro Global Select Plan. The new plan provides telephone support around the globe through a Bring Your Own Carrier model. This will support companies in all environments, including those where telephone services are highly regulated.

Zoom’s reputation still centres around it’s convenient and straightforward solutions for video conferencing. Zoom introduced the world to a new way of maintaining face-to-face communications, through a frictionless, video-first platform for unified communications. Zoom helps enterprises from all backgrounds to create better experiences with leading app integrations and dev tools.

The Zoom Phone service is how Zoom extends its platform to go beyond video, and cover business phone performance too. Zoom Phone is a cloud phone system that you can add naturally onto the existing Zoom video platform. The support for outbound and inbound calling comes via the PSTN, with seamless integrated telephony features that allow you to replace your existing PBX.

Zoom aims to simplify the process of negotiating telephone service agreements with various carriers worldwide. Aside from providing local service to more than 40 countries and territories, Zoom Phone provides connectivity through the Bring Your Own Carrier model.

Head of Zoom Phone, Graeme Geddes, said that Zoom customers are saying they want to untangle their global telephony spending strategies, and access greater consolidation. The Global Select Plan and Zoom Phone’s expansion worldwide will help with this goal. The easy-to-use solution is for companies that require numbers for every employee, effectively DDI/DID. For organisations where individual numbers are not needed for each employee, then the Zoom Phone Pro offer will be ideal –  starting at just $10 per extension each month.

Easy Calling and Video

Right now, Zoom wants to make it as easy as possible for companies to unlock new communication opportunities. According to the VP of Connected Work Research for Frost and Sullivan, Elka Popova, Zoom Phone is rapidly changing the game. The innovative new plan model and the availability of the successful Zoom Phone product in more than 40 countries will make Zoom a more compelling multinational option.

Tomer Mekhty, the VP of Global IT operations for ServiceNow, said that the company relies on Zoom every day to keep customers, prospects, and teams better connected. The opportunity to add Zoom Phone to the stack of collaboration and communication tools Zoom already offers is a great step forward. Zoom Phone supports ServiceNow in transitioning from voice to video calls whenever necessary.

Kevin Carda, the Farmers Insurance Agency owner, said that the cloud phone service from Zoom is “SUPERB!”. Kevin noted that the team helped to guide him through the setup process, designing a call management process suitable for his business. According to Carda, anyone looking for cutting-edge communication tools should definitely consider Zoom.

Zoom Phone is a cloud PBX add-on for Zoom Pro (or above) customers – allowing customers to seamlessly consolidate all their calling and collaboration into their Zoom platform. Visit zoom.com/phonesystem for more details.
