New Jersey-based CPaaS provider Vonage are to focus on its VBC solution and is investing in AI, says Senior Director for Product Management, Leon Frankel, enthusing: “We’ve got a lot of exciting stuff coming up!”

VBC or Vonage Business Communications are a collection of APIs (application programming interfaces) that allow users to access data and manage features on their accounts programmatically. Frankel continues: “It’s essential to look at Vonage as a whole and our vision when we put our roadmap together.
“Our mission is to enable next-generation communications that are flexible, intelligent person and enable businesses, their employees and agents to experience collaboration engagement everywhere.”

In the 10-minute video, Frankel relates an insight into Vonage’s expansion into AI: “When we look at the roadmap, we’re going to see some investments in AI over the next year: that’s an area that businesses are looking to grow, expand and leverage.”
Frankel was also asked about the pain points and challenges Vonage is hearing from its customers and the kinds of features and benefits it will bring its customers over the coming 12 months. He responded: “We hear a lot from them, and one of the biggest ones is hybrid work.
“A challenge for customers is they start to adjust to this hybrid workforce: there’s a real shift to a remote and hybrid, and folks are still trying to figure that out. We all went remote, and now we’re returning to offices; how do they balance that?”
“So our customers are looking for easy, flexible ways to keep their employees engaged and have them easily communicate with their customers. With an unstable macro environment, customers are looking to scale up and down. They need a solution that is easy for their employees to learn. So we have some great features planned to improve the UX .”
