VideoCentric Teams Rooms and Zoom Rooms combo

VideoCentric, an independent end-to-end provider of video conferencing and collaboration solutions, has announced a new hybrid offer for Microsoft Teams and Zoom.

The Focus Arena service combines both Microsoft Teams Rooms and Zoom Rooms technology into an integrated package.

There’s also access to BYOD and desktop modes, so users can access other apps like BlueJeans, GoToMeeting, Google Meet, Webex, and Pexip too.

Collaboration solutions supporting multiple applications were launched in 2020, according to VideoCentric.

But the firm claimed that users were often disappointed to discover these platforms needed to be frequently reconfigured by an IT department, as opposed to being plug-and-play.

A Flexible Solution for Video Meetings

VideoCentric used its expertise in the video environment to launch a hybrid solution that accesses a PTZ camera, set of wireless microphones, and speaker on demand. The one-touch controller switches between Microsoft’s MTR and Zoom Room interface, for integrated controls.

Sales Director for VideoCentric, David Shimell, says that users can access the technology with a simple 1-2-3 approach. All employees need to do is turn the display on, select the mode, and press join. While the solution is focused on Zoom and Microsoft Teams, it allows users to access a wide range of additional apps too.

At launch, the Focus Arena comes with two camera variants, but others are set to follow in 2021, along with a wireless BYOD option. Using just one Cat 6 on the table, wireless presentation sharing, and wireless microphone, cable management is minimal. Additionally, VideoCentric can offer a wire-free solution for the same price.

VideoCentric Marketing Communications manager said that the company has invested in creating a valuable integrated package that will work in a selection of meeting room settings, without needing reconfiguration. During the lockdown of COVID-19, employees have had to become more familiar with their desktop and cloud solutions but returning to work may mean addressing a new corporate policy. This direction may not be clear just yet, but those management employees and staff that return to work will want an easy way to access the right tools.

Simple Access to Zoom and Teams

One audio system, camera, and installation, along with the ability for users to switch between multiple video conferencing applications rather than relying on IT to constantly reconfigure their system. VideoCentric notes that while Zoom and Microsoft Teams won’t be the right solution for everyone, the Arena apps are available to access for a much wider range of options.

You can also bring your own solution into the meeting room with the BYOD service. The Thames Valley showroom for VideoCentric is currently demonstrating the full ease-of-use and flexibility of the Focus Arena offering for remote participants. From Zoom Room to Teams Rooms, and a range of other desktop apps and capabilities, any company can create the ideal meeting room.
