Businesses adopted cloud communication solutions en masse in 2020. This year, 2021, will be the year they make the call about which solutions are working best for them.

Although swathes of employees have returned to the office either part-time or full-time, cloud-based communications services seem to be here to stay with many businesses investing in “huddle rooms” to improve hybrid collaboration as workers contribute from a variety of locations.

Speaking to UC Today, Vyopta’s Vice President of Product, Jonathan Sass said that Zoom Phones are an example of how collaboration platforms are now looking to create holistic solutions for their customers. Sass also pointed out that many businesses have chosen to take a multi-vendor approach to their communication solutions, making the Vyopta solution crucial for businesses to ensure productivity.

“The OEMs are focussed on producing one platform for all the different modes of communication, whether that be IM, video or audio” said Sass.

“However, in the market, we're seeing many organisations take a multi-vendor approach, not adopting everything within a single organisation and picking a best-in-breed solution”

Sass said Vyopta has made it a priority to expand coverage of leading UC solutions, even as those brands expand their service offerings in an attempt to address as many business needs as possible.
