Let's face it some industry events can be boring. Taking place in the same old conference locations and covering the same old themes it can be difficult for participants to tell one event from the next, but that certainly can't be said about The Gamma Roadshow.
As the UK's leading provider of hosted and SIP trunking, Gamma have been innovating in the communications space to now offer their partners a wide spectrum of communication tools across the business landscape. All organisations of such size need an annual event where they can update their partners about the latest industry trends and how the most recent additions to their own portfolios can help partners transform their own businesses. This event is the Gamma Roadshow. Taking place from the end of February into March the 2019 Gamma Roadshow provides partners with a unique networking, learning and development event with a twist. UC Today will be attending this year as media partners so we spoke to Gamma's Product Director, Alan Mackie, to find out more.
Alan explains that this year's roadshow takes on a musical twist as 'The Sound of Gamma'. Gamma have been running a roadshow for over 10 years and after the success of the movie theme in 2018 with 'Gamma at the Movies' this year the theatre and musicals take centre stage.
"Over the years we have realised that we wanted to offer our partners something a bit different from other industry events, so we have adopted a different theme for each year. The partners loved it so much, and so did we, we thought this formula works! So, this year it’s The Sound of Gamma and themed around musicals"
Don’t think that when you show up to one of the four roadshow locations you will be greeted by Gamma staff dressed as the cast of Chicago or West Side Story, you won't. The theme purely provides an added dimension, and an opportunity for some well-placed musical puns, to the shows which are jam packed with thought leading content for the Gamma partner community.
Each leg of the tour will kick off with an opening keynote from Gamma CEO Andrew Taylor. The 2019 Roadshow will be Taylor's first year as CEO so gives him the opportunity to get his message an ethos across to the partners in attendance. Gamma are focused on helping their partners keep up within a rapidly changing market place. As the industry landscape changes so does the competition and Gamma believe they have the tools to help their partners stay ahead of the game
"Many of our partners are competing with huge carriers and we want to be able to help them compete and win. Understanding the market and how it is changing can be vital for that. Partners have the knowledge so with our help and support at the roadshow they can really understand how to transform their own business to cater for new and emerging markets as they have done previously with developments in the SIP or mobile industries"
Daryl Pile, Managing Director for the Channel, will also be taking the stage to provide partners with industry analysis from Gamma and from a selection of the industry's leading analytical firms. It is crucial for partners to be able to understand the dynamic communications market and that’s not always easy to do when you have a business to run so Gamma will provide their take on the market and its trajectory. One of the highlights of this year's shows will be the guest keynote speaker Nancy Rademaker. Rademaker is renowned for her knowledge of customer experience and during her keynote she will address changing consumer demands and how these will impact the services that businesses will need to provide.
