Following the initial release of Polls in Teams, Microsoft has been looking for new ways to engage employees, guests, and students in the virtual space. According to Microsoft, after listening to feedback from clients, they decided to add new functionality to Polls in Teams Meetings.
The new expanded polling experience includes access to live polling feedback and Forms intelligence with data insights. Microsoft notes that the new and enhanced Polling solution will make it easier for companies to keep their users engaged throughout the entire meeting.
If you’ve been looking for ways to connect with your employees, students, or guests more during your meeting interactions, the new range of Live Polls features could be just the thing for you.
Making Meeting Polls More Exciting
One of the first updates to the Teams Polls meeting experience is the arrival of the “poll suggestions” option. Via Forms intelligence, users can access suggestions for poll questions that might be helpful in a meeting. The solution can also suggest multiple choice answers based on the question. Extra intelligence supports companies in making polls faster, so they can get on with the rest of their meeting.
Rolling out at the end of April, users can ask open-ended questions of all attendees, without the limitation of multiple-choice to worry about. This should ensure that business leaders get more immersive answers from employees when asking important questions. Notably, Microsoft recommends using short answer questions that pave the way for shorter responses if you want to leverage the Forms’ text analysis feature.
Also appearing in April is the option to mark correct answers for multiple-choice polls in meetings if you’re doing quick knowledge checks or trying to keep teams engaged during training. Users will also be able to create and answer polls in mobile apps going forward.
