Leaders in cloud collaboration and communication, BlueJeans, recently announced a slew of new updates to their Meetings platform for Summer 2021. The meeting company announced the most recent features in a blog post, commenting on the new pressures and challenges users are likely to face as we head into a new era of hybrid work and connectivity.
The June 2021 update focuses on a range of capabilities introduced to combat video fatigue, boost engagement, maintain privacy, and enable collaboration from any environment.
Here’s what you can expect from BlueJeans this month.
Enhanced Waiting Room and Breakout Sessions
As meetings continue to thrive as a crucial part of the hybrid workplace, BlueJeans believes that security should be at the front of everyone’s mind. The BlueJeans Meetings environment empowers users with various secure video conferencing tools to ensure private meetings stay secure.
The latest updates to the BlueJeans Waiting Room experience allows moderators to toggle waiting room options on and off easily in the corner of the meeting environment. If the waiting room is switched on, the display will show a real-time count on the number of people waiting to be admitted. Moderators can let one participant in at a time, allow everyone at once.
It’s also possible to expel specific people from waiting rooms by denying their entry. Moderators will even be able to move participants out of meetings back into the waiting room and add them in again at the right time.
Breakout sessions, on the other hand, will give groups the ability to break away from the main meeting and collaborate in smaller groups. Moderators will be able to pre-assign meeting participants to breakout rooms while scheduling their meetings. Moderators can even better plan their meetings in advance while ensuring they have the flexibility to move between sessions.
