As we prepare for the future of hybrid work, many companies will be looking for the right ways to navigate a somewhat confusing, and unexplored world of “new” office environments. Employees will be working from everywhere in the years to come (not just the spare room at home), this requires businesses to invest in tools just as flexible as their teams.
Microsoft is helping to pave the way to this more diverse future of meetings and collaboration, with Microsoft Teams apps built for meetings, now supported by the Teams mobile apps. Available for both Android and iOS users, the solution will allow users to access apps in their Teams meetings for more collaborative and engaging experiences.
Teams Apps in Meetings: Anywhere
In November 2020, Microsoft announced the new availability of Teams apps in meetings for desktop, which allowed users to customise the Teams experience by bringing apps directly into their workflow before, after, and during meetings. Now, with mobile support, users can stay productive with their preferred mobile device.
Similar to the desktop app, you’ll be able to access the meeting app through tabs before and after your meeting, to follow up on action items, or just get prepared. There’s also an in-meeting panel to allow users to access the capabilities of apps within the conversation.
In meeting notifications are also available, showing up as banners on the bottom of the smartphone screen to keep you informed on new activities. You can click on “view” to interact with the content, without leaving the meeting.
