Zoom UC for Oracle Red Bull Racing

Zoom is providing communication, collaboration and ‘fan experience’ services for Oracle Red Bull Racing.

As the official UC provider, Zoom is supplying the Formula 1 racing team with its Zoom Team Chat, Zoom Events, and Zoom Meetings software.

Oracle Red Bull Racing will utilise Zoom’s technology across all of its communication needs, “from Free Practice 1 on Friday to the checkered flag on Sunday”. Its UC solutions will be used to connect the team to its fans, as well as on and off the track.

Oracle Red Bull Racing Team Principal and CEO Christian Horner, said: “We are very excited about partnering with Zoom.

“Their forward-thinking approach to communications mirrors our attitude to racing on track. They are fast, secure, and reliable in everything they deliver.

“Zoom’s proven track record of innovation will enhance our communication capabilities and provide us with a cohesive platform that will continue to bind the entire team together.”

Zoom Team Chat will be used by the racing team to power real-time communications, enabling the sending and receiving of instant and secure messages.

The team can collaborate together and share insights over video by easily switching from chat to video.

Zoom Events and Zoom Meetings can be used to provide Oracle Red Bull Racing’s fans with greater access to the team by sending virtual driver Q&As and virtual garage tours.

Further hospitality opportunities enabled by Zoom include virtual Paddock Club access, F1’s 2022 Car Launch, and more inclusive press conferences.

Stefano Domenicali, F1’s President & CEO, said: “F1 is all about technology, on the track and how we reach our fans around the world.

“F1 and our partners share the same values – to bring this incredible sport to the fans and improve every day.”

Zoom is also a ‘vehicle’ for F1 to reduce its carbon footprint, according to Domenicali: “Sustainability is a key issue we consider when we make decisions about our future.

“Technology like Zoom will help us reach that target. We can work from anywhere, reducing travel, and reducing our impact on the planet.”

Formula 1 is committed to reaching net-zero carbon by 2030.
