Zoom has launched new generative AI features that will help users compose emails and chat messages.
The new functionality, built into Zoom IQ, is powered by a partnership with ChatGPT creator OpenAI and will also summarise chat threads and create meeting agendas.
Smita Hashim, Chief Product Officer at Zoom, said: “Zoom has long built AI solutions into our products to empower customers to be more productive.
“We are excited to bring many more capabilities with new large language models.
“Our unique approach to AI will give customers the flexibility they want and help significantly improve collaboration and customer relations.”
Zoom highlighted three key features of the new AI tools:
- Zoom IQ chat compose: Zoom Team Chat users will be able to compose messages based on the conversational context and change message tone to customise suggested responses
- Zoom IQ email compose: Users will get email draft suggestions in response to the conversational context from prior Zoom Meetings, Zoom Phone calls, and email threads. Available initially in Zoom IQ for Sales
- Zoom IQ meeting summary: Generate a summary, capture next steps, and share via Team Chat, Zoom Calendar, and email without recording the conversation, so those who didn’t attend will no longer have to sit through lengthy recordings
Zoom had teased the launch of AI features last month in a move to boost user productivity and collaboration.
🔥 Today, Zoom announced an expansion of its #ZoomIQ Smart Companion, its AI-powered conversation intelligence solution.
Zoom IQ is a part of the Zoom platform that helps users to have more productive meetings, make more sales and satisfy more customers.
