Zoom has sold one million Zoom Phone seats less than two years after the product launched.
Zoom Phone hit the market in January 2019 and has since been rolled out rapidly to over 40 countries. Innovation on the product has also continued at a rate of knots throughout that period, to now boast over 400 features.
Graeme Geddes, Head of Zoom Phone, said: “We are excited to see this level of uptake in such a short timeframe.
“Our customers have come to rely on Zoom to deliver amazing video and audio for them at scale, and they’re seeing tremendous value in consolidating and modernizing their telephony services with us as well.
“This milestone really speaks to the level of trust we have built with our customers”
Zoom Phone has quickly become a staple of Zoom’s portfolio, and in November the firm revealed it had recently secured its largest ever Zoom Phone deal.
The voice service was also hailed as “absolutely the fastest growing product” for Zoom in the same quarter by Zoom CFO, Kelly Steckelberg.
Hitting the Mark
Zoom says that its phone product is seeing rapid adoption across all business segments – from small businesses right up the enterprise - with high-profile clients include Rakuten and eBay.
Susan Delaney, Director, Global Network Service at eBay, said that using the Zoom platform has increased productivity across the business.
“Zoom Phone has been incredibly valuable when it comes to keeping our teams connected,” she said.
“The one-click option allows users to elevate calls to meetings with ease, alleviating the need to juggle multiple platforms.”
