Zoom has reported another blockbuster quarter, with sales rocketing 191 per cent year on year to $956.2m.
The growth came despite a tough comparison quarter last year (the three months ending 30 April), when businesses turned to Zoom at the start of the pandemic.
Zoom CEO, Eric Yuan, said that he expects demand for Zoom’s offering to continue as businesses return to offices and a hybrid working culture develops.
“As parts of the world reopened, a few things are clear,” he said.
“First, many customers I talk to are looking to create hybrid solutions as they seek to cautiously reopen some offices. Second, each industry, company and individual vary in their optimal working model. Zoom is here to help each customer calibrate their future working model in their own way.
“Many companies are redesigning the workplace to enhance the hybrid work experience”
“So, to meet this need, we announced Zoom Rooms features such as smart gallery, which puts in-room and remote participants in equal footing, virtual receptionist, participant counting, and environmental sensors.”
Zoom said that at the end of the quarter it had 265,400 customers with more than 10 employees, up 354 per cent from the same quarter last year.
It also has 769 customers contributing over $100,000 towards sales on a trailing 12-month basis.
