BCM One Acquires Pure IP
BCM One announced the acquisition of Pure IP to build its presence in cloud voice migration.
Pure IP integrates voice across different communication systems, platforms and applications. It also provides PTSN replacement services in 47 countries and number availability in 137 countries.
Pure IP's expertise in migrating enterprise customers from UCaaS and PBX platforms to Microsoft Teams was a significant factor behind BCM One's acquisition. It will allow BCM One to migrate international business to Teams, including solution architecture, pre-sales assessment and planning, and dedicated support resources.
Geoff Bloss, CEO of BCM One, said:
"The global infrastructure and flexibility to design both Operator Connect and Direct Routing solutions reinforce our leadership position as a Next-gen Communications and Managed Services provider."
Slack Report Links Drop in Productivity to Employers Neglecting Hybrid Work
A Slack report found that 50 percent of UK employees believe their employers are not focusing enough on improving hybrid work, culminating in a drop in productivity.
While 87 percent of IT leaders told the report that they were investing in their business' digital experience, the average employee's productivity levels have fallen to nine hours a week of deep work. Many respondents believe most of their workweek is spent taking part in unnecessary meetings and navigating silos.
Head of UK at Slack, Stuart Templeton, said that this is the first time businesses have faced difficult challenges since many had adopted hybrid working practices. Templeton added that Slack's report suggests many businesses are still getting to grips with the hybrid work transition and that there is scope to improve alignment and productivity across teams to address the disconnect between employers and employees.
