Arya Zhou, Director of Sales at Yeastar, speaks to Kristian McCann about the company's journey and strategic direction in the telecoms industry.
Founded in 2006, Yeastar began with just ten employees and their first-generation hybrid PBX system called "My PBX." Fast forward to today, and the company has grown to approximately 500 employees while maintaining a laser focus on phone systems - something Zhou notes distinguishes them from competitors who have diversified into other product lines.
A critical milestone came in 2017 with the launch of Yeastar Cloud PBX, which helped the company gain significant market share in European and US markets. Unlike many manufacturers, Yeastar operates on a 100% channel-focused model, partnering with local distributors and never engaging directly with end-users.
The company has adapted to evolving customer needs by developing robust third-party integrations with CRM, ERP, and PMS systems. They've also responded to the growing demand for omni-channel solutions as businesses increasingly conduct operations through platforms like WhatsApp and Facebook.
