Founded in 1998, BroadSoft Inc has today announced the sale of the business to Cisco for $1.9 billion
Cisco have released an official press release confirming the intent to acquire BroadSoft.

Market Leadership
According to Synergy Research, in June 2017 BroadSoft had the leading market share in the UCaaS space (based on call control new line shipments), positioning them firmly as the industry leader in cloud communications.
