Highlight, a Software-as-a-Service provider available in more than 100 countries, recently introduced its new Broadband Clarity solution. The advanced service assurance feature will help to provide visibility and insights into the stability and speed of critical broadband connections.
For the last 19 years, Highlight has been assisting Enterprise Corporations and Service Providers with their network strategies, showing them application and network performance in real-time, along with extensive analytics. The launch of the new Broadband Clarity feature comes soon after Ofcom reaffirmed its commitment to improving broadband services in the UK. From the beginning of March this year, a new "voluntary" code requests that service providers give their customers a minimum speed guarantee. The guidelines also compel service providers to inform customers of predicted broadband speeds before purchase.
Taming Unruly Broadband
Highlight is committed to providing its clients with value in the form of critical insights into broadband and application performance levels. The new Broadband Clarity feature brings more discipline to difficult-to-manage broadband connections. This allows service providers and their customers to access and identify lag issues. The more you know about your broadband connections, the easier it is to resolve problems quickly and provide meaningful speed guarantees.
According to Highlight, customers can access a clear representation of how their lines are performing, along with visual representations of how speed has evolved over time. According to the Product Director for Highlight, Martin Saunders, partners have long said that managing broadband connectivity can feel like taming a wild animal. Few broadband connections can be properly monitored - even in bigger businesses, due to a lack of appropriate tools.
Old-style monitoring tools can spot huge outages, but they often miss the lines that drop below contractual speeds and become unstable. The result is a chaotic environment that's difficult to fully manage and support.
