Mitel has appointed Daren Finney as its Senior VP of Global Channel Sales.
Finney joins the comms vendor from his role as Chief Operating Officer for Worldwide Channel at Citrix. He has also previously held senior management roles at Symantec and Lenovo.
In his new position, he will lead Mitel’s global partner organisation strategy, programme development, and administration.
“With his past expertise developing and executing organizational design for channel transformation, Finney brings a reputation for successfully leading high-performing teams through significant business change,” Mitel stated.
The vendor last month launched its cloud-first Amplified and Velocity programmes aimed at agents and partners, respectively.
Finney is not the only new face to join the vendor’s senior leadership team. Carlton Geckler was named as its news SVP of Global Cloud Operations, Marina de la Torre joins as its VP of Customer Success, Mohammed Kasmi was appointed VP of R&D, and Virve Virtanen is the new VP for Analyst Relations and Competitive Intelligence.
The new appointments support Mitel's strategic and cultural shift into a frontrunner in the communications and collaboration space, according to CEO Mary McDowell.
