Mitel has unveiled its new Common Communications Framework for more secure hybrid UC solutions.
Mitel positions its Common Communications Framework as the next evolution of its UC portfolio. The company emphasises that this open blueprint for interoperability allows organisations to deploy a consistent communications experience across on-premises, customer, partner, or Mitel-hosted cloud models. It says it particularly benefits customers requiring a more secure, dedicated instance.
Martin Bitzinger, Senior Vice President of Product Management at Mitel, said:
By bringing together the best of both cloud and on-premises communications into a true UC experience, we’re empowering customers to engage with our portfolio in the way that best suits their needs. It’s a testament to what unified communications can be when you put customer needs first. We believe it’s a recipe for success for customers, our channel partners, and Mitel alike."
Mitel stresses this launch marks a major milestone in its portfolio strategy, which was introduced earlier this year after the company's Unify 2023. By integrating Unify's expertise, Mitel has expanded its Common Communications Framework. Mitel asserts that this enhancement offers customers vertically integrated and multimodal solutions that smoothly combine on-premises and cloud technologies, catering to the needs of myriad industries.
"Cloud isn’t one-size-fits-all, which is why our approach isn’t just about selling a product; it’s about delivering the right combination of hosting, features, service delivery, and integrations to solve real business problems," added Eric Hanson, Chief Marketing Officer for Mitel. "With a hybrid cloud model and Mitel’s Common Communications Framework, we’re making that possible for every customer on their terms."
More Specifics On The Feature Set
Mitel's Common Communications Framework aims to combine cloud simplicity with enterprise scalability, offering flexibility and control for both new and existing customers. This approach intends to allow organisations to mix and match private cloud, public cloud and on-premises deployments to suit their needs.
Key features include future-proofing investments by maximising existing PBX systems while supporting growth with preferred cloud models. The framework is adaptable for organisations of all sizes, from 250 to over 10,000 users, across multiple locations.
It also aspires to support a diverse workforce by providing a consistent experience for frontline and back-office teams, enhancing engagement and productivity. Additionally, Mitel says its AI-driven solutions and integrations with over 200 business applications streamline workflows and boost productivity.
