Following an independent audit of its billing and service operations, leading supplier of billing and provisioning solutions, Union Street Technologies, has been approved for the Total Metering and Billing Systems (TMBS) scheme. In order to achieve approval, all aspects of the company and especially Union Street’s Bureau Service, where Union Street’s team operates the aBILLity billing platform on behalf of reseller partners, underwent a comprehensive audit by Enigma QPM, a leading provider of quality of service audits.
Introduced and managed by Ofcom, the TMBS scheme provides assurance to customers on the accuracy of bills received from providers of electronic communications services. Although Ofcom only requires participation from communications providers with annual turnovers in excess of £40m, Union Street has sought approval on a voluntary basis.
As part of the process, Union Street was required to demonstrate the effectiveness and consistent accuracy of its billing operations in compliance with TMBS requirements. This included a comprehensive risk review of Union Street’s products and services. Union Street then worked to implement new processes and adopt new working practices in accordance with TMBS standards.
