PGi is moving innovation forward at the speed of light. Already this year, it announced plans to transform Unified Communications, collaboration, and productivity in the workplace at Enterprise Connect. PGi released an enhanced set of features in North America for its Cloud-based comms platform, GlobalMeet. The UCaaS platform makes scheduling meetings, tracking action items from meetings, and record-keeping, simpler through emerging technologies like Artificial Intelligence.
Ahead of UC EXPO, May 15-16, 2019, PGi broke the news of GlobalMeet’s European expansion in London. From our interview, it seems PGi takes unifying communications seriously.
Chief Technology Officer, PGi, Pat Harper told me:
“GlobalMeet has webcasting, webinar, newly-added telephony features, a unified desktop, support for cloud-based PBX services, and multiple other endpoints"
"We've wrapped these features into a continuity of experiences for our customers, allowing them to engage in whatever collaboration modality that works best for them. GlobalMeet can also be bundled with our native-cloud collaboration solution for audio/video web collaboration. These features will soon be available in Europe."
Harper also told me, deploying GlobalMeet is effortless. In fact, PGi goes above and beyond to make the process as uninvolved as possible for SMBs seeking to differentiate their offerings.
Harper said, PGi looks at customer needs and finds the method of deployment that best suits those needs. If SMBs have existing phone systems they want to port over, PGi supports a variety of SIP phones, extending value in the form of decreased learning curves. There is also the perk of saving money on purchasing all-new endpoints.
There’s Flexibility in the Cloud
What enables such dexterity, is PGi’s approach to native-Cloud PBXs, which lets them integrate into several manufacturer provisioning guidelines. i.e., Polycom and Yealink. This capability enables the zero-touch provisioning so customers can deploy PGi systems within a matter of minutes, Harper shared.
