Promethean Forms Distribution Partnership with Exertis AV

Why it matters: Promethean has named Exertis AV its authorised distributor in Germany and Austria, expanding access to ActivPanel 9 and LX for schools and busin

Promethean and Exertis AV distribution partnership

Promethean has entered into a distribution partnership that makes Exertis AV its new authorised distributor in Germany and Austria.

From July 1, 2024, one of the biggest and best-known value-added AV media distributors in Europe, Exertis AV, will work within a dual distribution model to support retailers in north and south Germany, with local contact points in the regions.

The world-leading educational technology company, Promethean, already has other distributors in the region, but Exertis AV provides partners with another distribution option.

Jean-Michel Koch, Vice President of Sales, Central Europe, UK & Ireland at Promethean, outlines some of the key implications of the distribution partnership: "Promethean is a company built on partnerships and this is another carefully selected connection to support our resellers.

This appointment gives us a better infrastructure to provide schools and businesses with technology across a wide range of budgets and industries and ultimately makes us a more agile and flexible company to work with."

Exertis AV ‘Goes the Extra Mile’

According to Promethean, the new distribution agreement allows educational centres and business customers to access its solutions via official distribution partners.

It describes Exertis AV as a “comprehensive new dealer base” for its network, which will also add strength to its German and Austrian business environments.

Furthermore, Exertis AV represents a strategic fit for Promethean as a company that works to cater to the needs of partners and “goes the extra mile” to “inspire” its customers.

Exertis AV will host the full portfolio of Promethean technologies, which it can connect with those in educational and business industries based on their individual budgets and requirements.

Such solutions include the interactive displays ActivPanel 9 and ActivPanel LX, which can be used alongside Promethean customer strategies.

The ActivPanel 9 86” model was made available through Exertis AV on July 1st, and all other products were made available via the distributor in August.

In its related press release, Exertis AV described the partnership as a combining Promethean’s state-of-the-art interactive education technology with its own extensive knowledge.

Carsten Steinecker, Managing Director Business Development at Exertis AV, is explains what this partnership will mean to its customers: "The addition of Promethean to our portfolio at Exertis AV is another significant step for Exertis AV and the partners.

“As a leading distributor in the AV sector, we see Promethean not only as an A-brand for interactive flat screens but also as a partner who shares our commitment to quality and innovation.

This partnership will further strengthen the collaboration with Exertis AV customers. We look forward to our mutual success."

Founded in Blackburn, UK, over 25 years ago, Promethean offers learning and collaboration tools to 126 countries worldwide.

Its award-winning ActivPanel interactive display and teaching software are designed for students and colleagues to boost connections and engagement.

Promethean is a subsidiary of Mynd.ai and a NYSE listed company.

In 2020, Yamaha UC partnered with Promethean and DisplayNote to transform meeting rooms with a three-in-one tool for plug-and-play collaboration.
