The comprehensive solution, which includes EdgeMarc 6000, will connect and enhance data and voice applications while supporting service assurance, security, and advanced analytics. The service is compatible with Microsoft Teams, and can provide policy and routing capabilities for all cloud applications.
The Edge portfolio will give enterprises and service providers a complete offering on the edge. According to EVP of Business Development for Ribbon, and CMO, Patrick Joggerst, the portfolio will give managed service providers everything they need to access a broad selection of Microsoft-certified solutions for the edge. Along with voice and data services, the edge portfolio will also allow service providers to significantly reduce TCO by centrally provisioning, monitoring, securing, and managing their service offerings.

Joggerst noted that the advanced resiliency and remote monitoring capabilities of the new portfolio, alongside management from Ribbon’s EdgeView centre for service control will allow providers to maintain the service level agreements promised in their offerings.
At the heart of the portfolio is the EdgeMarc 6000 from Ribbon – a platform designed for data and voice functionality. This service contains all the best of Ribbon’s edge services in a modular platform that’s extensible and accessible for future innovations.
The EdgeMarc 6000 physically connects to existing communication solutions and can also run containerised network functions. With over 1 million EdgeMarc devices deployed already, Ribbon’s customers can be confident that they’re accessing carrier-proven technology that’s some of the most advanced in the market. Additionally, Ribbon’s Next-Gen intelligent Edge portfolio also comes with LTE radio capabilities to enhance connectivity with a failover solution for continuity.
