If you’re one of the many people whose culinary skills peak at dialling in the digits on a microwave, the upcoming release of the world’s first ‘robotic kitchen’ should be music to your ears.
In 2017, Moley will release the highly intelligent, fully automated cooking robot that will whip up meals using the same style and finesse as some of the world’s greatest chefs, and will even do all of the washing up for you as you sit back and relax – not bad, eh?
Designed as a way to counter the rising cases of obesity caused by the high number of people who are consuming fast, processed foods that are high in fat and low in nutrition, Moley’s Robotic Kitchen offers all the healthy benefits of freshly cooked meals without any of the hassle.
As a complete cooking solution, the robotic kitchen comes with all the essentials such as cabinets, utensils, a worktop and a pair of mechanical arms that function by mimicking the exact movements of professional human chefs to skilfully blend together ingredients for you to feast on.
These arms were developed by Shadow Robot Company, a London-based corporation known for working with NASA, and work by recording the movements of human chefs with 3D technology then use what they have learnt to replicate their exact movements time after time (or until you get bored of the meal).
