SIPPIO's New 'Bridge' Links PBX Setups With Zoom and Microsoft Teams

Why it matters: SIPPIO Bridge lets businesses connect PBX with Microsoft Teams and Zoom, adding SMS, WhatsApp Business and e-Fax. Published on UC Today.

SIPPIO Bridge links PBX with Zoom and Teams

SIPPIO has launched SIPPIO Bridge, a solution empowering organisations to connect their classic PBX systems to the collaboration platforms Zoom and Microsoft Teams.

SIPPIO says its new Bridge service helps businesses maximise their existing PBX investments by complementing their functionality with the collaboration capabilities of leading platforms like Teams and Zoom. This, in turn, establishes the groundwork for the gradual transition to an advanced cloud voice offering.

“With SIPPIO Bridge, we offer our customers a unique solution that seamlessly connects their current on-premise phone systems with the collaboration tools tomorrow," said Dawn-Marie Elder, COO and General Manager at SIPPIO.

By enabling a gradual transition to Microsoft Teams or Zoom, we’re empowering businesses to embrace modern communications at their own pace, ensuring continuity and minimizing disruptions. SIPPIO Bridge truly bridges the present with the future, providing flexibility and advanced features for a smooth journey towards digital transformation."

SIPPIO adds that Bridge is a versatile solution that extends the robust calling services of the Azure-native SIPPIO platform to organisations not yet ready to migrate to Teams or Zoom fully. It provides access to an extensive library of communication services, which SIPPIO stresses makes it an ideal choice for entities of any size that rely on these platforms for their meeting and collaboration requirements.

More Specifics On Bridge's Feature Set

SIPPIO Bridge aims to transform the way organisations transition to modern comms systems. According to SIPPIO, it intends to serve as a "bridge to the future," offering a seamless and gradual shift without the need for a disruptive overhaul.

With SIPPIO Bridge, legacy phone systems are enhanced with cutting-edge communication capabilities, including SMS/MMS, WhatsApp Business, e-Fax, and more, ensuring businesses stay connected in today's digital world.

Furthermore, SIPPIO Bridge underscores SIPPIO's commitment to innovation and market expansion, equipping channel partners with an expanded toolkit to better meet their customers' evolving needs.

What Else Has SIPPIO Been Up To Recently?

In June, SIPPIO partnered with Solgari to empower the channel with AI-powered customer engagement solutions in Microsoft Teams.

The strategic partnership aimed to enhance channel partners’ capabilities by integrating Solgari’s native Microsoft Teams Contact Center solution into SIPPIO’s expanding suite of complementary services. This integration offers channel partners a robust, all-inclusive solution to meet their customers’ diverse communication needs.

Meanwhile, in May, SIPPIO and Clerk Chat partnered to launch an integrated text messaging solution for Microsoft Teams.

Available as a stand-alone offering for existing Teams Phone users or bundled with SIPPIO’s voice solutions, SIPPIO Text Messaging by Clerk Chat integrates SMS, MMS, and WhatsApp Business directly into Microsoft Teams. This empowers channel partners to expand their market presence, open new demand channels, increase customer value and boost average revenue per user.

Lastly, in March, SIPPIO announced a significant enhancement of its Microsoft Teams Phone service.

The new offerings include advanced reporting, call recording, AI-driven insights, and integrated messaging, significantly enhancing the Teams Phone experience for global enterprises. SIPPIO asserts that by augmenting the Teams Phone experience with these supplementary services, partners can increase average revenue per user and improve customer retention, fostering long-term success and profitability.
