Single Order Generic Ethernet Access (SOGEA) represents the biggest sales opportunity for partners for the next five years.
That is the message from Voiceflex Sales and Marketing Director, Paul Taylor, who is predicting a “land grab” for the remaining businesses still relying on ISDN and PSTN connections due to be switched off in 2025.
Speaking to UC Today, Taylor added that those early adopters to SIP solutions are in the best position to take advantage of this opportunity.
“Businesses have no choice, they have to move across so the question is not if they’re going to move, it’s when they’re going to move”
“We’ve been saying for years that the reseller or customer that provides a data service to the end user has the umbilical cord to that company. So anything that the user does, whether it's data storage, whether it's security monitoring, they should really be going to that reseller to make sure they've got the connectivity and the facility to run their applications.
It's very unusual to have a customer that will buy their data service off one company and their SIP or hosted services off somebody else. So I think we'll see a big land grab for customers who will probably have other services rolled in as well. For example, SME businesses with one or two users will have applications rolled in a hosted voice package.
