Tech Data Google Workspace partner growth

Tech Data is looking to recruit and train partners in Google’s Workspace for Education offering.

The distie said it will offer resellers online training and support; marketing assistance; and finance offers to make it easier for partners to sell into schools.

Matt Child, Managing Director of Advanced Solutions at Tech Data UK, said: “Schools have made big changes during the past year and over the summer break many will be looking at ways to deliver the kind of interaction and collaboration that pupils need, while also keeping costs firmly under control.

“Google Workspace for Education is perfect for them and we see a big opportunity for partners to proactively sell into the primary and secondary sectors this summertime”

“We want to onboard more partners now, so that they can be ready to take full advantage as soon as schools are ready to make their buying decisions.”

The software portfolio was previously known as G Suite Enterprise for Education but has been renamed as part of the wider Workspace rebrand.

Workspace includes Gmail, Docs, Drive, Sheets, Classroom and a host of other applications and tools.
