One of the leading cloud communications companies in the world, MetaSwitch, announced a new addition to their client roster recently. TPx, a national managed service provider, has selected the virtualised session border controller solution MetaSwitch Perimeta to help them deliver a broad range of cloud UC and SIP networking services to customers.
MetaSwitch has a strong history in the communications sector. The brand is known for it's open-source and communication software services that enhance the way service providers can innovate in an increasingly demanding and agile marketplace. According to a press release, TPx turned to MetaSwitch for support after conducting an in-depth evaluation of the other SBCs on the market and discovering that Perimeta served their needs best.
Choosing MetaSwitch Perimeta
According to the VP of Core Products for MetaSwtich, Micaela Giuhat, TPx spent plenty of time evaluating their options in the SBC space. However, TPx notes that Perimeta provides an industry-leading virtualized network function service, and useful network-wide licensing - ideal for the company's go-to-market strategy.
The Perimeta service provides plenty of useful benefits for today's service providers, including licensing flexibility, which offers VM-based licensing, logically centralised license tracking, and distributed capacity management. It's not just the licensing that's versatile with Perimeta either. The architecture of the virtualised SBC means that service providers can deploy their system however they like.
Perimeta breaks down into a selection of microservices that users can deploy however they choose. What's more, because Perimeta is entirely cloud-native, it works seamlessly on private clouds, public clouds, and multi-vendor ecosystems.
