As we head into the last couple of months of the year, the industry’s major brands don’t seem to be slowing down. Microsoft Teams hit an all-time high with its daily active user count, and Cisco recently announced some new security updates at its partner summit.

Microsoft Hits a New User Record

Microsoft, the industry leaders in collaboration and productivity solutions, recently shared its 2021 first-quarter earnings information with stakeholders. CEO, Satya Nadella, announced that Microsoft Teams surpassed an incredible 115 million daily active users (DAU). The number of people on Microsoft Teams has increased by an astounding 53% since early May.

In 2020, Microsoft has had an incredible surge in popularity and attention from users around the world. In just the past quarter, the service accumulated more than 30 billion minutes of meeting time in just one day. Microsoft’s revenue also reached a whopping $37.2 billion in the latest quarter. Cisco Reveals New Updates at Partner Summit

Cisco has been hosting a partner summit for over 20 years now – but this was the first year that the event was all-digital. CEO, Chuck Robbins, used the virtual platform as an opportunity to announce a range of up-to-date solutions for Cisco partners. According to Robbins, these latest adaptations will help IT teams to accelerate cloud adoption and transform operations.

New introductions from Cisco will support IT managers in simplifying their operations with consistency across the edge, on-premises, and the public cloud landscape.
