UC Today attended Call and Contact Centre Expo 2019, one of the UK’s biggest communication and customer experience focused events, to bring you interviews with all the industry’s biggest names.
Presenter Patrick is joined by Meghan Keough, Global VP Corporate and Product Marketing for 8×8 and by Mary Ellen Genovese who is their Managing Director of European Operations.
Firstly Patrick asks Mary Ellen how 8×8 have been received at the CCCE19 event so far. Mary Ellen explains that 8×8 has had an incredibly positive reception and in particular their booth demonstration focused around speech analytics has generated a lot of attention. Meghan then tells Patrick that the features within their speech analytics are now available across their communication platforms not just within their contact centre provision. This opens up a whole new realm of possibilities for businesses. The development and innovation from 8×8 is available throughout their entire portfolio and Meghan believes this is a solution enhancement that no other provider is able to offer.
Meghan also talks about the integration of the Jitsi video conferencing capabilities that are now available within the 8×8 portfolio. The Jitsi acquisition was only confirmed in October and 8×8 have already incorporated the solution into its core meeting offering.
Finally Patrick asks Mary Ellen about how 8×8 is progressing in the EMEA market. Mary Ellen is very enthused by the success, they have seen 40% growth in the UK and she believes this is largely down to their ability to demonstrate the power of a single platform for both performance and engagement benefits.
