The Microsoft Teams Trade-in Programme is another reason business leaders choose Teams as the heart of their new workplace strategies.
In the last couple of years, Microsoft Teams has rapidly been growing as the most widespread ecosystem for hybrid work on the market, not just for its fantastic features but also its flexibility. In January 2022, Microsoft introduced the “Trade-in” programme as a solution to help IT teams and business leaders with their migration into the new world of work.
With Device trade-in for Microsoft Teams, companies can receive cashback for the tools they already use in their meeting rooms when switching to a Microsoft Teams environment.
Why are Microsoft Offering a Trade-in Programme?
Companies of all sizes are rapidly transitioning into the new world of work.
No matter which industry you’re in, you’re likely to be dealing with the migration to hybrid or remote working practices. Employees surveyed by IWG say they’d rather have a hybrid work schedule than a 10% pay rise. On the plus side, hybrid work strategies can offer a host of benefits to businesses, from lower overheads to the ability to attract a broader range of customers.
On the other hand, the transition to hybrid work also means companies need to invest more heavily in a virtual alternative to the standard “physical” office hub. Teams need a virtual workplace where they can interact and collaborate just as effectively as in person.
That’s where Microsoft Teams comes in. The Microsoft Teams environment offers a highly flexible and extensible landscape, ideal for companies trying to ease the pain of migration into hybrid work. You can use direct routing or operator connect to access your preferred communications carrier, so you don’t have to rip and replace technology when using Teams for UCaaS.
Teams even allow companies to integrate the apps they already use with Microsoft Teams or create unique workflows and apps with low-code platforms.
The Microsoft Teams Trade-in Programme is just another way for Microsoft to make it easier for cash-strapped business leaders to streamline the path to a more flexible workplace. As Microsoft says, the approach to modernising meetings and enhancing legacy equipment should be as straightforward as possible. The Trade-in Programme is a massive step in the right direction.
About the Microsoft Teams Trade-in Programme
The Microsoft Teams Trade-in Programme is enabled via a partnership between Microsoft Teams and Network-Value, a US company specialising in global trade-in programmes. Via this initiative, anyone who wants to modernise their existing meeting rooms and hybrid workspaces with Microsoft Teams equipment can trade legacy tools for cash.
Network-Value has agreed to buy back eligible video conferencing and desktop devices and provide various options for responsibility disposing of ageing equipment. In other words, you can recoup some of the losses involved with having to replace older systems and reduce your impact on the environment at the same time.
Though Microsoft does not know that the “value of devices” can fluctuate depending on factors like demand, the overall age of the device, the condition of the product, and market conditions, it also promises “competitive” prices for legacy tools.
