Innovator in agile software solutions for customer experience, survey feedback, and market research, SurveyMonkey, recently announced an update. The company is offering a new solution for Microsoft Teams. This offering supports the growing remote workforce, keeping employees engaged and productive. The latest release from SurveyMonkey assists organisations in using feedback to boost employee experience.

This new solution highlights the importance of collecting and responding to feedback when optimising a work landscape. Microsoft and SurveyMonkey recently found that around 25% of people are experiencing reduced productivity right now. 28% of employees also say that work engagement is lower. However, 71% of respondents want to continue working from home following the pandemic.

The Changing Workforce

The rapid increase in demand for remote work is blending personal and professional lives on a massive scale. Surveying employees support organisations in tailoring better work/life balance strategies to suit individual needs and finding ways to increase engagement.

SurveyMonkey even added diversity, equality, and inclusion elements to the Microsoft Teams release to assist HR and business leaders in understanding how racism impacts the workplace. Knowing which questions to ask leads to better listening and stronger companies.

The VP of Product for SurveyMonkey, Samantha Bufton, says that employees are now more digitally present, with the company’s study showing over 40% of employees spending more time on video, email, and instant messaging. The workplace is shifting from adjusting to remote work, to embracing this opportunity for the future.

The SurveyMonkey App for Microsoft Teams

The vision for the SurveyMonkey Microsoft Teams app is to support companies in improving remote work by enhancing how leaders connect with teams and promoting greater wellbeing. Compared to other competitive offerings, SurveyMonkey provides a more comprehensive native solution, stronger analytics, expert-tested survey templates and reporting capabilities. Features include:

  • Enhanced security: The app aligns with the latest standards for Microsoft security
  • Updated surveys: Longer surveys are available with up to 20 questions
  • Private surveys: Deliver surveys beyond team channels to individual chats
  • Shared analytics: Deliver survey insights to a place where everyone can enjoy them
  • New templates: Access the latest diversity, equality, and inclusion surveys

Compared to other competitive offerings, the SurveyMonkey solution also offers a more seamless and native service. Expert-tested templates and enhanced analytics ensure greater insights.

Addressing Employee Needs

According to Director of Microsoft 365 Ecosystem, Mike Ammerlaan, the new SurveyMonkey app integration will help companies to dive deeper into the employee experience. The portfolio of SurveyMonkey’s enterprise integrations with Microsoft include OneDrive, Power BI, and Microsoft 365. SurveyMonkey also supports over 100 integrations with companies like Oracle, Salesforce, Zendesk, and more. There are even enterprise-grade features to support security, privacy, compliance, and collaboration.

This update follows SurveyMonkey announcing an expansion to its partner program in August. The STEP program or SurveyMonkey Technology Ecosystem Program addresses the growing needs of companies to generate stakeholder feedback and use it for positive action.
