Avocor has introduced its Google certified EDLA OPS Android PC to bring more capabilities to its range of interactive displays.

The Avocor Enterprise Device Licensing Agreement (EDLA) OPS is a modular slot-in compute platform that connects into Avocor’s interactive displays to enable quick and easy access to apps from the Google Play Store, plus integration with Google Tools, such as Google Sheets, Docs, and Slides.

According to the interactive display manufacturer Avocor, the new device is ideal to improve professional and educational spaces

Dana Corey, General Manager and SVP of Global Sales at Avocor, commented on the launch of the Avocor EDLA OPS:

“We are excited to introduce the Avocor EDLA OPS, designed to enhance interactive learning and productivity in classrooms and personal workspaces.

“By integrating Google’s suite of tools, our OPS elevates the functionality of Avocor displays for a more immersive user experience.

By connecting with the Google Play Store, the Avocor EDLA OPS provides teachers with a large library of resources to enhance classroom learning.

With the use of Google Classroom, users can manage their assignments, grades and communications.

Google’s suite of collaboration tools can be utilised as solutions within hybrid working businesses.

For example, teams can collaborate via Google Docs and Sheets in real-time, make changes to same documents at the same time, and access locally stored documents, with no further devices required.

Avocor EDLA OPS’ meeting room device management features include configuration settings, remote updates, and device monitoring can streamline maintenance processes and optimise devices.

Google Play Protect is also made available via the new device, which delivers enhanced app and device security.

Nick Gamble, Business Development Manager, North England and Scotland at Avocor, took to LinkedIn to broadcast its latest: “For those involved in the Education AV game, there’s not a busier time all year round.

“With the summer holidays in full swing, now is the time for those teaching space tech refresh projects so it’s all hands-on deck to get everything installed ready for the new term.
“At Avocor, we’re always improving our education line-up and the latest addition comes in the form of our new Google EDLA Certified OPS Slot-In Android PC.

“Running on Android 13, the Avocor EDLA OPS is engineered to enhance the capabilities of educators, businesses, and professionals through advanced computing power to boost productivity and facilitate collaboration.”

In June this year, Avocor added various Jabra devices into its CollabTouch programme through a partnership that is expected to bolster hybrid working experiences.

The Danish audio and video conferencing provider Jabra is combining its PanaCast 50 Video Bar System (VBS) and Panacast 50 Video Room System with Avocor’s CollabTouch Kit and G, E, H, E92, and L series of displays.

UC Today’s Tom Wright hosted a discussion with Jeff Boggess, Director of Product Marketing, Avocor, in September, 2023, in which they spoke about Avocor’s new Ultrawide 21:9 Touch Display for Microsoft Teams Rooms, back-to-office and hybrid work trends, as well as the company’s plans.

Headquartered in Oregon, USA, Avocor describes itself as a “global leader in in-person and remote collaboration solutions. Its products ‘work with everything’, from Google Meet and Microsoft Teams to Zoom and RingCentral.
