Smartsheet has outlined its AI-driven capability roadmap for 2025 to innovate work management.
Smartsheet has announced a series of AI-powered features that will soon be available on its platform. These include AI-powered chart creations, customisable conversation filters, more sophisticated data analysis tools, an enhanced file library, and a new integrations panel to refine the UI.
“AI is already embedded into our platform, helping you visualise your data, easily generate complex formulas, save time with summarisation and text generation, and get on-the-spot answers to your questions,” wrote Miya McClain, VP of Product Management at Smartsheet, in an announcement blog.
With new AI-driven automations and workflows for setting up your workspace coming this year, Smartsheet supercharges your team so you can tackle any work management problem — without needing to be an expert. Instead of getting bogged down in repetitive, manual, or complex tasks, you can drive impact and make faster decisions with greater accuracy.”
Seamless, advanced integrations are essential to Smartsheet’s new feature programme. Its upcoming data links feature aims to simplify data connections by allowing users to reference information across sheets without duplication or complex formulas.
Additionally, column links will streamline referencing between sheets, improving accuracy and reducing redundancy. Advanced column link options will soon provide more control, including filtering synced records and automatically removing unmatched links.
For users working with external data sources, Smartsheet affirms that its new integrations panel in table view simplifies connections to third-party tools. With Data Shuttle, the company affirms that users can seamlessly manage imports and exports without leaving Smartsheet, ensuring a more efficient workflow.
“By automating workflows and breaking down data silos, Smartsheet helps teams spend less time wrangling data and more time making impactful decisions,” McClain wrote. “Our platform integrates with the tools and data sources you already rely on, unlocking siloed information from CRMs, HCMs, ERPs, and more. These integrations provide valuable visibility, turning Smartsheet into a central hub for all your operations.”
More Information On Smartsheet’s New Features
The Analyse Data feature in Smartsheet automatically summarises insights and suggests visualisations, enabling faster data comprehension. The company adds that AI-powered chart creation updates dashboards in real time, eliminating manual updates and simplifying complex data into clear charts and graphs.
Smartsheet’s partnership with AWS integrates Amazon Q Business, allowing users to ask questions and get instant insights while maintaining access permissions. Whether tracking projects, tasks, or deadlines, Smartsheet suggests this AI-driven integration enhances efficiency and decision-making.
The company stresses that conversations, feedback, and decisions stay in context while files are centralised to keep work moving. Smartsheet emphasises that the upcoming file library simplifies project file management, enabling easy file sharing with permissions, version control, and built-in approvals, ensuring teams always have the latest information.
To enhance collaboration, workspace collections and conversation filters intend to help teams prioritise resources and quickly find key discussions. Distributed teams can stay connected and productive regardless of location or time zone with asynchronous collaboration support.
