AUO Display Plus (ADP) is in the process of finalising an acquisition of Avocor.

AUO Display+ has been given the internal green light to move forward with the intended acquisition of Avocor. A recent announcement confirmed that both organisations are actively ironing out the details and conditions of the acquisition deal.

Both companies assert that the AUO, ADP, and Avocor executive teams have been collaborating closely since 2022 to ensure a smooth transition.

With the agreement in place, Avocor’s CEO, Scott Hix, is set to take on the dual roles of GM of the AUO Education and Enterprise Business Group and CMO of ADP. His leadership and expertise are expected to contribute positively to the new organisational structure.

AUO Display+ is recognised for its expertise across various specialised sectors, including education, enterprise, retail, healthcare, and transportation. In collaboration with its strategic partners, AUO Display+ produces innovative display applications and delivers comprehensive solutions encompassing hardware and software components.

The mooted ambition behind the acquisition is to harness the combined strengths of both companies in areas such as product innovation, business operations, marketing, sales, and research and development expertise. Both businesses stress that the strategy is to forge an all-encompassing value chain within the display industry, encouraging the advancement of smart education and enterprise solutions for AUO Display Plus.

Upon completion, the acquisition intends to strategically position Avocor for sustained growth and stability, catalysing advanced developments in display technology.

The integration with AUO Display Plus aims to expedite Avocor’s innovation pipeline, enabling the rapid and efficient introduction of pioneering display solutions to the market. Additionally, the merger is anticipated to yield enhancements in supply chain management, engineering, and regional operations, reinforcing the company’s competitive edge.

What Has Avocor Been Up To Recently?

Earlier this month, Avocor introduced its Google-certified EDLA OPS Android PC to expand the capabilities of its range of interactive displays.

The Avocor Enterprise Device Licensing Agreement (EDLA) OPS is a modular slot-in compute platform that integrates seamlessly with Avocor’s interactive displays. This platform provides quick and easy access to apps from the Google Play Store and integrates with Google Tools, including Google Sheets, Docs, and Slides. Avocor highlights that this new device enhances professional and educational environments.

Meanwhile, in June, Avocor added various Jabra devices into its CollabTouch programme through a partnership expected to bolster hybrid working experiences.

The Danish audio and video conferencing provider Jabra is integrating its PanaCast 50 Video Bar System (VBS) and PanaCast 50 Video Room System with Avocor’s CollabTouch Kit and its G, E, H, E92, and L series displays. This combination aims to deliver a comprehensive, high-quality video conferencing solution that enhances collaboration in various professional settings.
