ClearOne has revealed its innovative low-latency wireless microphone system, the DIALOG 20 USB.
The vendor says the flexible two-channel mic features less than four milliseconds of audio latency to enable hybrid meetings with local sound reinforcement effectively.
Designed for hybrid meetings requiring both a dedicated presenter microphone and a shared audience mic for simultaneous sound reinforcement, the DIALOG 20 USB is suitable for various settings, such as hybrid training or presentation sessions.
Derek Graham, CEO at ClearOne, commented:
Wireless microphones have become an essential tool for working professionals, trainers, and public speakers. Wireless systems provide the freedom of movement that today’s users require to effectively engage with their audiences. The new DIALOG 20 USB Wireless Microphone System is designed to meet the needs of these customers all while allowing ease of deployment.”
With the ability to function effectively in spaces up to 2500 square feet, the DIALOG 20 USB resolves high latency and low audio quality issues, ensuring a seamless and professional audio experience.
The DIALOG 20 USB’s Feature Set
The DIALOG 20 USB includes a diverse microphone lineup, including Handheld, Boundary, and Gooseneck options and a Beltpack with Lanyard, Headset, or Lavalier mics. It features an auto-scan function for optimal channel selection and is powered by robust frequency-hopping spread-spectrum technology with no global frequency license restrictions. Standards-based encryption ensures secure wireless audio, and its broad audio bandwidth guarantees superior speech clarity.
The DIALOG 20 USB is easily set up, connecting to a PC via a single USB Type C cable for audio, power, and control — eliminating the need for an external power source or extra cables. It’s managed through the system’s user-friendly software and comes pre-integrated with P-Link connectivity for ClearOne’s CONVERGE Pro 2 DSP mixers.
Featuring industry-standard connections like USB-C audio, professional XLR, and 1/4-inch TRS balanced audio outputs, it ensures compatibility with cloud-based collaboration platforms such as Microsoft Teams, Zoom, WebEx, and GoToMeeting.
The receiver, equipped with a large colour LCD, displays battery life, received signal strength, and programmable microphone ID labelling. Microphones sync effortlessly with the receiver via a button press, initiating the automatic assignment of a random encryption key. The system scans for interference and selects optimal RF frequencies. Mics can be powered by the included rechargeable NiMH AA batteries (charged via USB) or standard AA alkaline batteries.
What Did ClearOneGet Up To In 2023?
Last year, ClearOne added eight new bundled conferencing solutions to its COLLABORATE Versa lineup in May.
The collection of microphones and cameras was introduced to offer optimised audio and video performance for conference rooms and personal office spaces. The new additions intended to allow businesses of all sizes and budgets to introduce dynamic conferencing capabilities that might have been previously prohibitively expensive, including automatic voice tracking, face tracking and echo cancellation.
“The new lineup of COLLABORATE Versa solutions offers an ideal package for every small-to-medium sized conferencing space or personal office, giving business owners and IT staff mission-specific options that ensure maximum value, utility and performance in any room,” Graham explained.
