What has been your business/work highlight of 2024 so far?

Launching our new Client Experience Centre in the heart of London that amongst other things, allows us to showcase the latest innovations in Meeting and Collaboration technology including Rooms, Voice/UC, and of course “AI Powered” Modern Work experiences as well as other technologies and experiences that enhance the collaboration and UC experiences such as sustainable spaces and adaptive places to work.

Who is your business hero and why?

Now that’s a good question. I don’t have a single business hero. I am inspired my people who lead others through inspiration and passion rather than “do as I say”. With the pace of innovation today, I think everyone needs to be able to try and fail with regard to taking products and services to market.

What’s the biggest business mistake you’ve made and what did you learn from it?

I recently learnt that having the right people in the organisation in the wrong role is as detrimental to business as having the wrong people in the right roles. You need the right people on your “bus” and then need to work with them to make sure they are in the right seat for them and for the business.

What’s the most inspirational book you’ve ever read and why?

Our CEO recently bought the leadership a book called “Unreasonable Hospitality”, Whilst not focussed on IT, it is all about delivering the best / exceptional experiences no matter what as this is what people remember and why they come back. – It’s a great read.

What’s the biggest challenge you face in your role in 2024?

Other than keeping up with the pace of technology change with the AI momentum it’s about staying laser-focused on growth, and the right set of services whilst delivering the best experience and service to our customers.

What technology will have the greatest impact on your business this year and why?

Everyone will say AI to this, right!! But it is. Not just the technology itself, but it represents a totally different way of working with technology and organisations are only just getting their head around it. Maturity / Adoption is still low, and there is lots of work to do to not only monetise it but to help customers recognise HUGE ROI and in turn monetise it themselves both in terms of productivity savings and competitive ability.
