The team here at UC Today has compiled a list of top tips for UC Partner Awards applications to help clarify the process and give a nudge to anyone who may be sitting on the fence about applying.

Our Top Tips
Be specific when asking the question – When applying, you must make sure you are answering the questions and not copying text for a marketing brochure. Our judges are fond of numbers and statistics, so try to use them to help your case.
Be aware of the category you are applying for – In the past, we have had so many great entries, but they didn’t quite fit the category they were submitted for, and as a result, they received low scores.
Sound authentic – Our judges can spot an entry written by a PR agency, so show some style in your application to ensure it sounds authentic. The judges see the whole channel partner market, so make sure you know your audience before applying; try to get the judges to see your point of view.
Be careful who you quote – Quite a few of our judges are analysts, so don’t quote other analysts or provide other analysts’ data to make your case. The best supporting quotes typically come from customers, try and include some in your entry if possible.
Focus on what you do best – When submitting an application, focus your answer on your unique selling point and what sets you apart from the other applicants. We want you to articulate your business value with examples and show us why you deserve to win a UC Partner Award.
Some don’ts – Try not to include external links or attachments in your applications, as some judges will not look at them. Applicants should also avoid using sales or marketing speak, talking about how great your products are or how you’re the clear market leader. It is also very important not to go over the word limit when answering the questions.

Customer ROI: Did your solution significantly improve the user, team, customer, or business experience?
Innovation: Have you recently released an innovative and differentiated product or service?
Growth: Can you demonstrate business growth and success?
Experience: Do you offer channel partners and/ or customers unparalleled value and support?
What are the UC Partner Awards?
Returning for its second year, the UC Partner Awards seek to recognise the talent of channel partners within the UC and Collaboration industry.
Last year’s winners include company names such as Zoom, Gamma, Nuwave, and Anywhere365, and an individual acknowledgement to Laura Padilla, Head of Global Partner and Platform Sales and BD at Zoom.

To enter, you must register your details and download a UC Partner Award 2022 application form. Some of the award categories cost to enter, and others are free.
Entries are only accepted until October 7, so make sure you get your application in before then.
