RingCentral, a leading provider of cloud communication solutions, recently announced new measures to ensure peace of mind for its customers. The RingCentral Office unified communication solution is now better than ever. According to RingCentral, this video, cloud phone, and video communication platform has achieved three internationally-recognised certifications for security best practices. The certifications are ISO 27001, ISO 27017, and ISO 27018.

With the new third-party measures in place, RingCentral is meeting next-level requirements for privacy and security. The certifications test the maturity of RingCentral’s programs and processes against the highest possible standards. For customers, this is evidence of RingCentral’s commitment to ensuring their safety and security.

What Do the New Certifications Mean?

Security and privacy will always be some of the most important concerns for any business to consider. The three ISO certifications recognise RingCentral’s commitment to various stringent measures and controls. For instance, ISO 27001 reflects RingCentral’s commitment to managing risk and compliance consistently when it comes to customer data. ISO 27001 highlights the robust and rigorous security management solutions that RingCentral has in place and its technical controls for handling confidentiality, integrity, and availability.

ISO 27017 delivers guidelines for information security controls specific to and applicable to the provisioning of cloud services. The RingCentral ISO 27017 certification demonstrates its disciplined approach to information security management systems.

Finally, the ISO 27018 certification highlights commonly accepted controls for implementing measures that protect personally identifiable information for public cloud computing. The ISO/IEC 27018 certification means that RingCentral is fully committed to keeping customer data private. It also demonstrates that RingCentral has controls in place to protect PII.

Protecting Customers with Privacy and Security

According to the Chief Security Officer at RingCentral, Michael Machado, when your people are working from anywhere, private, and secure solutions for cloud communication are crucial. Today, RingCentral is focused on ensuring customers can run their business on a secure, reliable, and trusted communications platform.

Adding internationally recognised certifications to the RingCentral roster highlights the security and compliance measures that RingCentral is taking for its customers. Security and compliance elements are crucial parts of business communications these days, as companies deploy solutions to enable their teams to work in this new landscape.

According to Research Director of Collaboration and Communities at IDC, Wayne Kurtzman, ISO certifications are crucial to showcasing the privacy and security measures of brands.
