Pureport, an innovative multi-cloud networking provider, recently announced the new availability of 1, 2, 5, and 10 Gbps hosted connections with AWS Direct Connect. AWS Direct Connect is a cloud-service offering that makes it easier for businesses to establish a dedicated network connection from on-premise environments into the Amazon Web Services cloud. With Direct Connect, today’s end-users can access private connections between a data centre, colocation, or office environment, and the AWS space.

Thanks to Pureport’s leading Multicloud Fabric platform, the new higher-speed connections to AWS can provide customers with a broader range of network options and faster access to their must-have AWS workloads. The Pureport Multicloud Fabric solution seamlessly delivers private connectivity to cloud providers, allowing for multicloud, hybrid cloud and multi-site use cases.

Easier Migration to the Cloud with Direct Connect

Using Pureport’s intuitive self-service console, today’s companies can access cloud connectivity in minutes through AWS Direct Connect. The AWS Direct Connect solution allows users to establish a dedicated connection between their network and one of the AWS Direct Connect locations. Additionally, Pureport has become an AWS Service Delivery Partner, and now acts as part of the AWS Partner Network.

The Service Delivery Program from AWS identifies and endorses APN partners with a deeper understanding of specific AWS services, and a more enhanced customer experience. As a Direct Connect Service Delivery Partner, Pureport offers choices and flexibility on how to connect with AWS, in addition to hosted and dedicated connections ranging up to 10Gbps.

According to the CTO of Pureport, Doug Mittendorf, Pureport is excited to be one of the early partners providing better hosted connections with AWS Direct Connect. High-speed connections will allow customers to achieve new transformation strategies, whether they’re investing in cloud-to-cloud transitions, hybrid cloud, or cloud migrations.

Simplifying How Enterprises Connect to the Cloud

Pureport has always been committed to improving and streamlining the way that enterprises link their networks to the cloud. The company aims to eliminate high cost and complexity, as well as long-term contracts, and the recurring maintenance involved in connecting to the cloud. Additional benefits of the Multicloud Fabric platform include:

  • Automatic connectivity: Companies can connect their data centres, clouds, and sites through full-mesh topology, without exhausting manual processes
  • DevOPs ready: The Pureport experience provides access to all functionality and features via REST API for greater customisation.
  • No need for additional hardware: The Pureport distributed router for multi-cloud environments is built into the platform automatically, reducing the need for additional hardware
  • IP conflict resolution: The cloud-grade NAT functionality from Pureport automates the resolution and detection of overlapping IP address environments, to reduce conflict and delay between networks
  • Flexible bandwidth: The multicloud fabric platform is available on-demand, allowing customers to manage costs by adjusting their connectivity to suit their changing needs and budgets
  • No contracts: The Pureport platform reduces the need for long install times and long-term contracts often associated with private networking solutions.
