Midwich has acquired the unified comms division of Hamburg-based eLink Distribution.
The deal was done via Midwich’s German-based AV distributor Kern & Stelly Medientechnik.
Value-added distributor eLink provides audio-visual communication and network solutions to trade customers in Germany, Austria and Switzerland and counts Poly, Lifesize and DTEN among its vendor partners. It is also a distributor and master agent for Zoom licences in the region and the acquisition will allow existing customers of Kern & Stelly to access this Zoom portfolio, including licences and hardware.
The acquisition of eLink’s UC division bolsters Midwich’s offering in the DACH region and emphasises its investment in the “strategically important” and fast-growing UC market. eLink‘s 30 staff will remain with the group and its founders and directors, Roman Klinke and Daniel Ebling, will head the newly minted UC competence centre at Kern & Stelly.
