The asynchronous video tools provider, Qumu, says the launch aids the companyβs transformation into a Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) enterprise and increases market access to its platform capabilities.Β
The news comes just weeks after the company received notice from Nasdaq that the company is at risk of being delisted from the stock exchange for failing to meet the exchangeβs minimum price of $1 per share.Β
Since then, Qumu has released an earnings report with better-than-expected revenues and losses, although its share price remains under $1.Β
Rose Bentley, Qumuβs President and Chief Executive Officer, said:
βLaunching the Qumu Video Engagement Platform on Google Cloud Marketplace is the logical next step in our history of collaboration with Google Cloud and an important milestone in evolving Qumu into a SaaS enterprise.Β
βBy launching the Qumu Video Engagement Platform on Google Cloud Marketplace, we are further aligning Qumu with a trusted cloud leader and positioning Qumu to benefit from the co-marketing activities and insights into end-user applications of our platform that being part of Google Cloud uniquely provides.βΒ
The enterprise video platform provides globally distributed workforces with asynchronous video at scale, enabling employee, customer and partner collaboration.Β
Qumu has already worked with Google Cloud to offer Qumuβs video, analytics tools, and platform-as-a-service (PaaS) offerings.Β
According to Bentley, its offering combines the best of Google Cloudβs capabilities with its enterprise video expertise.Β
Furthermore, customers will be able to quickly add its video capabilities through Google Cloud Marketplace as they enter a client-vendor relationship with Qumu.Β
Bentley added: βWhile pandemic-related constraints on face-to-face communications no doubt accelerated that growth, video is increasingly proving to be an effective and compelling medium for multiple communications needs, including product launches, extending the reach of live events, onboarding and training new employees and customers, and managing issues and crises.βΒ
βBy making the Qumu Video Engagement Platform available on Google Cloud Marketplace, we are making increasingly valuable enterprise video creation and management capabilities more accessible, affordable and easy to implement.Β
βWe are grateful for the strong support we received from the Google Cloud team and Google Cloud PartnerΒ F33Β in expediting the launch of the Qumu Video Engagement Platform on Google Cloud Marketplace.βΒ
