SIPPIO enables voice capabilities on cloud-based communication platforms like Microsoft Teams and Zoom. It provides emergency and toll-free calling in more than 60 countries worldwide without having to write a single line of code. SIPPIO’s key value proposition is its clear and transparent subscription model, which bundles all your calling requirements into a single license.
SIPPIO was founded in 2021 as an Azure-native calling technology startup. It boasts of a high availability service and relies on eight different Azure regions and certified session border controllers to serve clients worldwide. And due to its existing Microsoft partnership, it is natively integrated with Microsoft Teams from the beginning. “Using the Azure backend network to connect to Microsoft Teams with restricted IP-based rules limits public internet exposure and provides the lowest latency available,” commented Kate McQuade, Director of cloud marketing at SIPPIO, in the press release.

Voice Panel by SIPPIO is an Azure-based application that lets you quickly set up a connection between SIPPIO’s calling systems and Microsoft Teams. It mimics the native UI of Teams so that end users can gain from an easy learning curve. Using Voice Panel, Teams users can start using the platform to make calls in minutes. Voice Panel primarily targets administrative roles responsible for setting up your routing systems, onboarding users, and governing routing policies and service numbers.
Let us now review the app in more detail.
Inside Voice Panel for Microsoft Teams
To install Voice Panel, head to Microsoft AppSource and look up Voice Panel by SIPPIO. Ideally, an administrator should look after the installation so that the app’s calling capabilities can be integrated with your preferred routing system, and you can onboard users from an external source of your choice. Voice Panel by SIPPIO is a free app, but you’ll have to sign up for a paid calling plan to make its services available to end users.
Here is a quick overview of the app’s key features:
- Sign in using Microsoft credentials – You can sign into the Voice Panel app using your Microsoft credentials with Microsoft 365 Global Admin Access. Once this is done, you will be prompted to type in your SIPPIO account ID to connect the two platforms.
- Simplified setup process flow – This is the biggest advantage of using the Voice Panel app by SIPPIO. It guides you through the end-to-end setup and activation process, from choosing a global/local presence, configuring PSTN, and selecting/prioritising routing policies based on region to onboarding and activating users. This entire setup happens inside Teams without having to switch platforms.
- Calling policy management – If you have configured region-specific routing policies in SIPPIO, you can activate or disable them from the Voice Panel app. You can also set your preferred routing policy as the no.1 priority and designate others as failovers.
- User import/export – The Voice Panel app allows you to import new user data during account activation. To import, you can download SIPPIO’s user information form directly from the app, add data, and upload it back to the system. You can also export the finalised user list as an editable CSV file.
- Post setup user management – While you can import user information in bulk during the setup process, the user management module lets you add individual users after you have set up SIPPIO. From the Admin tab in the Voice Panel app, click on Users. This will display a full list of users in your enterprise, their locations, user names, assigned numbers, and calling policies.
- Service numbers governance – The service numbers module is next to the Users feature. Here, you can view and edit the phone numbers and calling policies associated with different users (including auto-attendants).
- End-user training – Next to the Admin tab in the Voice Panel app, you will find a tab called Training. This contains a full library of SIPPIO training videos accessible by administrators and end-user roles.
Why the Voice Panel App Makes a Difference
The Voice Panel app makes adopting SIPPIO calling services for Teams significantly easier. Companies looking for an easy-to-use routing system with a simple licensing model will find it enormously helpful.
