Boom Collaboration has launched its all-in-one Boom HALO video bar, promising a seamless collaboration experience.

Boom HALO features a 4K UHD camera, six microphone arrays and high-fidelity speakers. Available through distributor Westcoast, its advanced capabilities encompass facial recognition, speaker tracking, intelligent noise reduction, and AI auto-framing. Further, extra ports enable audio expansion to accommodate flexible rooms and growing teams.

“There’s little doubt the popularity of video bars will continue to grow this year, and the Boom HALO will add more fuel to the fire,” Boom Collaboration Founder Holli Hulett said.

With 120-degree wide-angle field of view, 10x zoom and smart mic array, the HALO detects both participants and speakers in real-time, locking in on attendees and allowing for hands-free operation. Six array MEMS microphones and a superior 4K lens with an eight-megapixel CMOS sensor ensure an exceptional meeting experience for a variety of spaces.”

Boom’s video bar lineup encompasses the high-performance AURA and the compact UNO, designed for smaller and personal use. All products in this portfolio are supported by a three-year warranty.

Boom’s Emphasis on Audio Quality

Boom stresses the HALO’s emphasis on high-fidelity audio, with the video bar featuring a 48kHz sampling rate and dual 10W speakers to offer lossless audio and full spectrum sound for meeting participants.

Additionally, acoustic Echo Cancellation and Automatic Gain Control further hone the meeting experience and ensure “full duplex quality at a distance of six metres”, according to Hörnkvist.

“Plug and Play simplicity is created from USB 3.0. Users can simply connect and enjoy their favourite video conferencing platform,” Founder Fredrik Hörnkvist added. “Furthermore, an automatic privacy shutter is combined with the ability to disengage wireless connectivity for added security.”

Bluetooth 5.0 also enables simple pairing with mobile phones and other devices, while expansion ports for extra mics and speakers develop optimal coverage for spaces of any size.

Boom Collaboration’s Momentous 2023

Founded in 2020 by Hörnkvist and Hulett, Boom Collaboration is a Texas-based company that has rapidly expanded its comprehensive conferencing portfolio. Following a successful expansion program in 2023, the business now operates in over 30 countries. Its operation is underpinned by the development of four logistics centres that cover every corner of the global market.

In October, Boom Collaboration announced its partnership with Westcoast to distribute its video conferencing hardware products in the UK.

IT distributor Westcoast now supplies the full Boom Collaboration range, including 4K PTZ conferencing cameras, video bars, personal devices and audio speakers, to over 5,000 active resellers across the UK. Boom’s products address all user needs and room-size environments, and the company says its solutions are future-proof with technology to “stand the test of time”.

The Boom HALO video bar, UNO vertical video bar, MAGNA 4K PTZ camera and GEMINI expandable audio innovation are among the range of devices available through Westcoast, as well as the GOJO multi-camera controller.

UC Today reviewed the Boom UNO video bar in 2023 and was admiring about the all-in-one conferencing solution. The small plug-and-play device included a portable form factor and plug-and-play design, allowing employees to set up and launch meetings from home offices, huddle rooms, and orthodox conference spaces.
