With over 20 years in the industry producing high-quality, high-definition video processing, switching and connectivity solutions, DVDO bought something slightly out of their usual sphere to ISE 2018. The product in question, TILE. Doug Fealtman, CEO of DVDO, showed us the device in action on their booth in Hall 1 of ISE in Amsterdam.

“This product (TILE) is new for us in far as getting into the collaboration and presentation market”

TILE connects physically to any given display within an organisation and then enables users to connect wirelessly to TILE through an app. It has been designed to simplify the process of connecting multiple users to an existing display system enabling a collaboration experience by casting any desktop, application, video, image, or other content to the shared screen.

Doug was able to demonstrate that TILE will enable up to 5 different TILED windows to be displayed simultaneously. This allows multiple users to share content, compare videos and images, or to bring up websites alongside presentations.

“Problem today you walk into a boardroom or classroom and you need the specific connection from your device to the display. TILE offers simple wireless presentation and collaboration without all the usual wires”

Doug explained that TILE is aimed at collaborative environments such as executive conference centres or huddle rooms. Simplicity of use was a key factor in development and with the app installed anyone has the ability to display and control content on a screen regardless of their device. For environments that require it, such as education, a moderator can help approve and queue the shared content before it is shown on screen.

With a wide and well established distribution network the new product is available worldwide.
